Mid Valley Iron and SRL Sign Deal for 2010

Bakersfield, CA – The SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series is proud to announce that Mid Valley Iron and Metals will be the sponsor of the “Winner’s Bonus” award program for the 2010 season.  The “Mid Valley Iron and Metals Winner’s Bonus Award” will payout a $1,000 bonus to each event winner of the 2010 SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series.  With the bonus program in place, SRL event winners will receive a minimum of $4,000 in prize money in 2010.

“We’ve had a great off-season with a lot of positive things going on with the SRL and this is a great addition to our programs we have in place for 2010.  Mike at Mid Valley has been a big supporter of the SRL over the years and we truly appreciate his support of the series this season.” commented the SRL’s Brian Olsen.

Mid Valley Iron and Metals will not only sponsor the SRL “Winner’s Bonus” in 2010, but will also be the title sponsor of the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series event at Stockton 99 Speedway on June 12th.  

“The SRL is by far the most exciting type of short track racing anywhere and there are a lot of good things going on with the series,” stated Mike Merchant, owner of Mid Valley Iron and Metals.  “We are proud to have our name associated with the SRL and hope to be part of it for many years to come.” 

The SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series will begin its tenth season of competition on Saturday, March 27th at All-American Speedway in Roseville, CA.
