DODD LOOKS TO SHINE AT THE ALL STAR SHOWDOWN

MIRA LOMA, California -- Scott Dodd in his #25 Nascar Whelen Super Late Model is ready to hit the ½ mile track at Toyota Speedway of Irwindale. As a multiple time  winner at Irwindale, Dodd is looking forward to leading laps and especially the last lap this year. This will be Dodd’s third NASCAR All Star Showdown. Last year Dodd started the race in the 20nd position due to the cancellation of qualifying and advanced to 12th in only three green flag laps due to the shortened event.

In Dodd’s first Showdown (Oct. 2007) Dodd had a very exciting race quailfying third behind veteran drivers Rip Michel and evenutual winner Greg Pursley. Dodd led the most laps in the race and was the highest finishing rookie in the race. He had the second fastest lap of the race. Dodd felt like he had the car to beat, but after the break he was inverted to the 6th position and the car in front of him had an engine problem and oiled Dodd’s tires and utimilately finishing in the 4th position. As the driver that has led the most Super Late Model Showdown laps Dodd looks forward to this years 100 lap race and the chance for his first All Star Showdown win.

I want to thank all of my sponsors for their support: Craig Fire Protection, Lucas Oil Products, K & N Filters, Air Gas Supply, RBR Differential Service and Bob Dogger Horseshoeing. Dodd is still looking for sponsors for the 2010 season.

This years racing will be televised on SPEED Channel at 7:00PM Friday night. For more information visit www.scottdodd.com or call 951-360-0962.
